Farming Plains after 7 Hero Update
Since it is possible to enter uw with 7 heroes, it is pretty easy to just rush to chaos planes. So my thought is, that you only need to worry about how to kill those mindblades as fast as possible...just use your heroes to get there and flag them away.
First you need some kind of skill protection like shadow form...but after various nerfs there a dmg cap...you can only deal 26dmg on 16. There must be a better option like...[[Vow of Silence]] or [[Obsidian Flesh]] maybe [[Spellbreaker]] too. Than you need protection against [[Signet of Disruption]] like [[Signet of Mystic Speed]], [[Pious Concentration]] and [[Mantra of Resolve]]. Now you need dmg and defense...
Any thoughts about a build? Or is [[Shadow Form]] still the best anti spell protection for farming?

There is hardly any way now to solo farm them. Mindblades now possess Leech Signet which nerfed A/D solo farming.
Basically, ANET made an update a while ago that gave them Leech Signet which killed the A/D farm. A/D allowed you to solo 30+ of them at once and kill them all at once fast.
It IS still possible but you will have to have something anti-rupt but if you tried solo farming them now... you will fail because you won't be able to cast any spell.

You can A/D Shadow form and signet of mystic speed. The only problem is it takes a while to kill them, its not very time efficient.

I've spent the time to take my spirit spammer all the way out there. You can clear the plains fairly readily. You can't use the Painful Bond due to Hex Breaker, so maybe throw in an extra spirit or something. I'll have to give it a go and see how long it take to fight your way out there with a full party.

Why can't you go E/Me with mantra of resolve for the rupts. Take Wastrels like the farm in EoTN for damage and earth stuff for prot? Could even take empathy for the skeles.

Yes they use Hex Breaker. Spirit Spammer works great but Painful Bond would be painful to you. Not that it will kill you but it could take half your health away. SoS and Spiritleech Aura will nag them down

Cry of pain requires a hex...
E/Me will have energy issues, mabye channeling can work but it will be tight especially when only going against 3 enemies. Obsidian Flesh is 25e (30e if you count glyph of swiftness) and -2 energy regen. Can't attack so no help from zealous scythe. Each time your interrupted you will lose even more energy from mantra of resolve.
Spirit Spammer and A/D are your only options
A/D
Deadly Paradox
Signet of Mystic Speed
Shadowform
Shroud of Distress
Eremite's Zeal (helpful energy management if needed)
Victorious Sweep (can replace with whatever)
Mystic Sandstorm (may get interrupted but if it does go off it does alot of damage, can replace with Chilling Victory or anything)
EBSoH (can replace with another attack)

Just cleared the plains now. It takes a long time and is boring as hell but I did end up with 8 total ectos (see 7 in pack and one on the ground). Mindblade Spectres cast Ignorance which won't let you cast SoS, so be sure you cast that one first and definitely outside of their range. Just keep recasting your spirits right on the edge of the aggro bubble and they'll never target you.

How about replacing Shadow Song and Spiritleech Aura with Black Powder Mine and Necrosis? Spirits ain't too clever att hitting same target so AE blindness/bleeding will allow you to spike down a target quickly with Necrosis.

Wastrels has a something like a 1 or 2 sec recharge, hexbreaker is 20 secs or so.
Cast WW once to clear the stance, taking 30 odd damage, and once more for the AoE armour ignoring damage, rinse and repeat hexing with WW every 3 secs, gg.
If you solo and can't handle that single packet of damage something is wrong.
Even with newer versions of mindblades, I still haven't seen anyone mention something that could stop the solo E/Me from farming, apart from maybe 2 skeles at once.
